JAC DELHI
April 21st, 2021Admission to Undergraduate Programmes in premier Delhi Government funded universities, offering Engineering, Architecture and Management programmes is offered through Joint Admission Counseling (JAC) from the year 2014 onwards, as an initiative of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi, to avoid multiple admission counselings and save the candidates and their guardian from the resulting inconvenience because of shifting of students from one institution to the other during the admission process.
At present, Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIITD) and Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) participate in JAC, which is conducted online with the support of the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
Eligibility
1. Basis of admission
• Admission to B. Tech. Programmes in DTU, IGDTUW, NSUT, and Dual Degree {B. Tech.+ MBA) in IGDTUW will be strictly made on the basis of Common Rank List {CRL) Rank in JEE {Main) Paper-I.
• Admission in B. Arch. Programme in IGDTUW will be strictly made on the basis of CRL Ranking JEE {Main) Paper-II.
• The admission to lllT-Delhi will be based on percentile score obtained in Paper-I of JEE Main and bonus points for achievements in various areas like Olympiads, Programming Contest, National Talent Search, Sports, Culture, Chess, Innovation, etc.
2. Region
• 85% seats in all the participating institutions are earmarked for candidates belonging to Delhi region while the rest 15% seats are earmarked for students belonging to outside Delhi region.
• A candidate passing the qualifying examination from a recognized School/College/Institute located within the National Capital Territory {NCT) of Delhi will be considered for Delhi Region only.
• A candidate passing the qualifying examination from a recognized School/College/Institute located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi will be considered for Outside Delhi Region only.
* Candidates passing the qualifying examination from a recognized School/College/Institute located within Noida or Gurgaon will not be considered for Delhi Region.
Qualifying examination
• Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year 10+2 course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi
• Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year 10+2 course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi
• Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the CBSE
Minimum Marks in qualifying examination
A. For regular students
1. B. Tech. Programmes offered by DTU, IGDTUW, NSUT and Dual Degree B.Tech. (MAE) + MBA at IGDTUW
A candidate securing 60% or more marks in an aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and has passed English (Core or Elective) as a subject of study at the Senior School Certificate Examination level AND having JEE Main Rank (Paper-I) shall be eligible for admission to the first semester of B. Tech. programme provided he/she has passed in each subject separately.
2. B. Tech. Programmes at lllT-D
A candidate who has secured 70% or more marks in the aggregate of best of five subjects including Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subject to 70% or more marks in Mathematics in the qualifying examination and having JEE Main 2020 Rank (Paper I) shall be eligible for admission.
3. B.Arch. Programme at IGDTUW
• No candidate shall be admitted to B.Arch. Programme unless she has passed in 10+2 scheme of examination with PCM subjects/10+3 Diploma with Mathematics, as the case may be.
• The candidates who have qualified the JEE Main (Paper II) with pass percentage in 10+2 scheme of examination with PCM or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics shall be eligible for admission to B. Arch course.
B. For candidates belonging to Reserved Categories I Sub categories
1. DTU, IGDTUW and NSUT only (for B. Tech. and Dual Degree Programmes)
• Other Backward Class (OBC NCL): 55%
• Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST): 50%
• Defence (CW): 55%
• Persons with Disabilities (PD): 50%
2. IIIT-D only
• Other Backward Class (OBC NCL): 65%
• Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST): 60%
• Defence (CW): 65%
• Persons with Disabilities (PD): 65%
Age Criteria
There is no minimum or maximum age criterion for any of the participating institutes.

Procedure for online registration and fee payment
1. Enter JEE (Main) application number.
2. Enter name (as per JEE (Main) admit card.
3. Enter Date of Birth (as per JEE (Main) application.
4. Enter email ID and mobile number.
5. Verify email ID/mobile.
6. Create password for JAC Delhi portal. JEE (Main) application number will be the user ID of the candidate.
7. Enter bank account details.
8. If applicable, enter details about claim of bonus points for IIIT-D.
9. Upload all the requisite documents.
10. Confirm registration form.
11. Pay fees.
12. Take a printout of the registration form, sign it, and get it signed by parent/guardian.
Documents to be uploaded at the time of registration
• Passport size colour photograph
• Marks sheet of the qualifying examination, i.e. Class XII or equivalent
• Certificate of High School or equivalent examination (i.e. Class X) as a proof of Date of Birth
• Bonus point document(s), if eligible for lllT-D bonus point.
• Reserved category/subcategory certificates.
Choice filling
1. Log in to the website http://www.jacdelhi.nic.in using JEE main 2020 application number as login ID and the password created during registration process.
2. As per the eligibility of the candidate, available seat information relating to University/Institute and Programmes will be displayed.
3. Candidate can select choices one by one from list of available choices and can add it to his/her preference of choices. Preference of choices can be rearranged by moving a filled choice up/down in the preference list. Candidate can also remove a filled choice from his/her preference list.
4. Candidates can fill in as many numbers of choices in the order of preference as they wish to fill, from the list of available choices
5. Editing of choices are permitted during the entire duration of registration window, including new registration allowed at the beginning of each round of counselling.
6. Preference of choices will be locked automatically once registration period is over. Candidate need not lock the choices explicitly.
7. Candidate has to take the printout of the filled choices once registration is closed.
Seat Allotment Letter
A seat allotment letter can be downloaded after declaration of seat allotment result of a round. This letter clearly indicates institute and category/subcategory of allotted seat.
Admission confirmation status
If seat is allotted to the candidate, and the admission fee is paid by the candidate, the admission committee will verify the uploaded documents and confirm the admission. Status of confirmation of admission will be made available in candidate login. The candidate can download his/her provisional admission letter.
Fee structure
Only a part of the total admission fee needs to be paid during online reporting. The balance will have to be paid at the allotted institute/university.
